He’s a
wonderful Lord! We see the evidence of
this all about us—in the beauty and order of the world, and in the lives of
people who know and love him, and who have made it easier for us to have
faith in goodness.
He’s a wonderful
Lord! We feel his presence with us and
his care over us; not that he always gives us what we want—or think we need—but
even when the answer to a prayer is “no” he is there to sustain us and see us
through. His love supporting us gives us
strength and courage which we did not imagine possible.
God
hath not promised
Skies
always blue,
Flower-strewn
pathways
All
our lives through;
God
hath not promised
Sun
without rain,
Joy
without sorrow,
Peace
without pain.
But
God hath promised
Strength
for this day,
Rest
for the labor,
Light
for the way,
Grace
for the trials,
Help
from above,
Unfailing
sympathy,
Undying
love.
