I am
the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not
fear, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13
As we
face each new day only God knows exactly how that day will go. For some of us
the day may hold untold joy, for others sadness; perhaps there will be
uncertainty or undreamed-of opportunities to reach out in Christian love to
those around us. What a blessed assurance to know that God is in control and
that He has a plan for each of us.
Prayer: Gracious
and loving God, we thank you for being mindful of us and for inviting us to
abide in the shelter of your everlasting arms. Thank you for your tender care
in good times and in bad times. Help us to follow the example of your Son,
Jesus, who said that we should love one another. Use us, Dear Lord, to be your
servants so that Your will may be done here on earth. Most of all, we thank you
for sending Jesus Christ who died for our sins and gave us the blessed
assurance that whosoever lives and believes in Him should never die but have
eternal life. Amen
