Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the
Twelve aside and said to them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of
Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law.
They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be
mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!” Matthew
20:17-19
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who
died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is
also interceding for us. Romans 8:34
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:8-9
I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his
resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his
death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians
3:10-11
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The
one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by
believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits
of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the
resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 1 Corinthians 15:20-21
